Lend a Hand Bahamas, a Bahamian nonprofit organization, was created in 2014 to offer more activities and opportunities to socio-economically disadvantaged areas of the Bahamas. Currently, we are planning and implementing new programs and projects in certain areas of the Bahamas with the long term goals of connecting with others to offer a collaborative approach towards solving problems especially in more urban areas of the country. If you have any doubts in supporting our efforts please reach out, check out our social media pages, or ask around about us! We are tackling some of the toughest issues facing the Bahamas while doing so in a coordinated and collective way with a heavy emphasis on the youth.
We welcome other organizations, companies, foundations, schools, and individuals to reach out who wish to get involved, support financially, or join forces on initiatives. Currently, we are operating out of the Neville and Nora Dorsett Community Center, in Grant’s Town located in Nassau, Bahamas. We have a 4H based curriculum with programs currently running centered around entrepreneurship, literacy, swimming, performing and visual arts, computer animation and coding, to name a few.
